Asphalt Sealcoating
All sealcoating is done by hand with the highest quality coal tar sealer. All sealcoat will have sand added for maximum traction for your patrons. Our commercial sealcoat has fast dry additives to cut curing time down ensuring less down time and protentional loss of revenue for your business.
Asphalt Crack Filling
Our crackfill consists of a high quality direct fire hot rubber compound. All cracks are cleaned with detail to proper depths to ensure adhesion and help prevent future vegetation growth. Commercial lots will feature use of crackfill machines combined with hand applied hot rubber crackfilling where applicable.
Commercial Line Striping
We provide line striping to fulfill all of your lots needs. Striping is available for both asphalt and concrete lots. Regardless of what material your lot is made of we will be able to fulfill your needs.
Residential Sealcoat Process
Preparing your residence for application
We take our preparation and all aspects of the sealcoating process seriously at Shimmer Sealcoating. We refer to it as the "Shimmer Way". Every residential property bid includes straight line edging along all edges of your drive. All vegetation is thoroughly removed and cracks cleaned to the very best of our abilities. We remove all dirt and oil spots trying to prevent improper adhesion and oil bleed through. We will thoroughly blow the drive completely clean trying to ensure we keep out customer and their neighbors as debris free as possible.
Crackfilling your residence
All crack filling on residential properties will be done by hand unless otherwise specified. We use top of the line hot rubber crack sealant for all cracks. Hand applied with a technique unique to this company. Proper depth and adhesion will be ensured before application. We use no sand fillers for our cracks. All cracks will be filled with hot rubber only. Hand applied with a clean relatively mess free look designed for usability of your residential drive. All residential quotes include all cracks with the exception of Spiderwebbing and Hangars. Spiderwebbing is concentrated grouping of cracks and is a sign of improper base and massive asphalt failure. We reserve the right to do the outer perimeter only and any crack inside will be at our discretion. Hangars are the cracks near the edges of the asphalt and culvert pipes that run parallel with perimeter. Typically 1-6 inches near the perimeter.
Sealcoating your asphalt
All residential sealcoating will be quoted for hand application. We use a high quality coal tar sealer. Sand is added for traction and durability. No excess water is added. We use a nice and thick sealcoat mixture to make your driveway beautiful with a flat mat black hand finish. Only our seasoned vets will be allowed around your garages, sidewalks and landscaping ensuring a high quality mess free job start to finish. * We will bid spray application by request
